Guest Suites

The House of the Seasons historic location, hospitality, and amenities provide a perfect weekend getaway or holiday retreat. Guest suites are located behind the House, with off-street parking available. Each suite has a separate entrance, a luxurious bath, furnishings consistent with the period of the House, and unique memorabilia. A friendly, courteous staff is available to answer all your questions and make recommendations. Suite rates include a gourmet breakfast served at a private table and a tour of the historic home.

Epperson Suite
The Epperson Suite is 420 sq. ft., furnished with a king-sized, four poster bed and includes a sitting area with two large Victorian lounge chairs.
Presidential Suite
President and Mrs. George W. Bush stayed in the Seasons Guest House in June of 1996. This is the most romantic room in the guest house. Decorated with photographs and historical memorabilia of both President George H. W. Bush and President George W. Bush, as well as other Presidents and Presidential hopefuls, and the Collins family. Newly refurbished with Victorian style settings, the accommodations give this room a comfortable and cozy atmosphere synonymous with Jefferson.
Lady Bird Suite
This room is named in honor of Mrs. Lyndon B. Johnson one of America’s greatest First Ladies and an old friend of the Collins family, who owns the House. She was named Lady Bird by the house workers at her fathers plantation at nearby Karnack and attended Jefferson High School. She visited the House in 1976, and again in 1982 and has been an ardent supporter of historic preservation and wildflower beautification.
Sam Houston Suite
This room is named for Sam Houston, the first President of the Republic of Texas and close friend of Benjamin Epperson, the builder of the house. The furnishings in this room are consistent with the period of the house.

Kay Bailey Hutchison (pictured with Shirley Reiman, President of the House of the Seasons) visited the House of the Seasons on August 9, 2011. She stayed with her children, and dedicated the Port Jefferson History & Nature Center during her visit.

Tina Sloan, Author
Tina Sloan is the author of (and star of the one woman show), “Changing Shoes”. She also played Nurse Lillian Raines on “The Guiding Light” for 26 years.
